1. The title of the film when and how does it appear on the screen?

At the start of the film the titles of universal which is a well know company that produces films. Also paramount pictures title, and then after that it is followed by people who have acted in the film and also started i n the creation. The words are very bold writing and stands out to the audience.

2. When and how is the setting and location revealed to the viewer?

The setting is of a working environment and of high class people. It is introduced into the opening as an old street road in a business town. Even though the film is in black and white it still is very clear to the audience the type of place it is.

3. What costumes and props were used?

The costumes that were used are suits and formal wear and it shows the contrast between the working people and the wealthy. Also to give background to the film as it gives hints to were it is set and the type of place it is.

4. What camera shots and editing were used in the opening?

They have used a silhouette of the man at the titles of the film it keeps the audience thinking who this man is and why is he in crouches. From that scene it cuts to a scene of a man that could of been the one in crouches. Also the camera shot are mostly establishing shots so that the audience can get an inspiration to the place. Also a constant music is played though out the opening of the film.

On the titles used they are shadow effect on them which stands out to the audience they are also quite bold and they used the fade in and out effect.

6. How does it set the story up for the film in the opening?

To set up the story of the opening of the film t gives hints who this guy is in the silhouette and also within the title it gives lots of hints to the audience what does it stand for.

7. How does the opening suggest it’s a thriller?

A personal option the film does not feel like at thriller because it doesn’t give any situations that are gloomy and scary in a sense.

8. How are the main characters introduced?

Some of the main characters were introduced in the start as the opening begins and there is a man walking into a building with his arms covered by his coat.

9. Is there any special effects?

The special effect was the lighting and the black and white colour because colour was invented but they chose to use black and white.
